HK Jun’08 - Day Three (Macau Day Trip)
Wednesday, July 9th, 2008
[Ruins of St Paul's, Macau]The weather was perfect for our planned day trip to Macau with S&S (SY and wife). Would LadyLuck be on my side? Hee cross fingers!
YB and I made our way to Causeway Bay?銅鑼灣 to meet S&S for breakfast at a nearby teahouse. Apparently, I was the only one who can communicate in Cantonese. My dialect is limited to half a bucket of water but it is better than nothing at all =P

HK June’08 - Day Two
Tuesday, July 1st, 2008
[Star Ferry Terminal]Rise and shine! Today we walked over to Harbour City which is about one street away from our place. The shopping mall is full of branded labels…nice to ogle at but no money to buy =(
Anyway, the main objective was to locate Patagonia outlet in search for the label’s renowed Houdini specially for Kein. This windbreaker is really light but doesn’t look like it’s worth 125USD. -.-” Despite the price, it is completely out of stock throughout all local outlets.

Hong Kong Jun’08 - Day One
Sunday, June 29th, 2008
[Adri's first bite on Krispy Kreme!]After about 4 hours on Jetstar, YB and I finally reached Hong Kong! 6 hours ago, I was giving the taxi driver an earful for taking us to the airport via AYE-CTE-PIE-TPE. Luckily we were in time to check in. *blow hot air out*
The moment I stepped foot on the arrival hall, I headed right to Krispy Kreme….Ohhhh I’m so excited because I’ve heard so much about their tasty donuts! 6 donuts for 58HKD and we chose (from top left) blueberry, cinnamon apple, chocolate iced custard, chocolate fudge cake, original and chocolate. Not sure how good they taste at that point because we didn’t want to stop to eat.

Discovering the Southern Ridges
Tuesday, May 20th, 2008
[The Agenda]I love to immerse myself in nature at times to get away from the bustling city life. The extra sunshine on Saturday didn’t discourage my group of friends from checking out the new 9km network of trails, bridges and walkways that connect West Coast Park and Harbourfront. See ST published map.
All were to gather at Seah Im Food Centre and set off at 9am but as expected we had sufficient time to eat breakfast :P We started off from Marang Trail (800m) and took about 15mins to reach Mount Faber. The trail is a flight of easy steps (as compared to Bukit Timah Hill’s green route).

Malacca Road Trip 21-22 Mar 08
Friday, May 2nd, 2008
[View from Infinity Pool, Holiday Inn Melaka]Malacca or Melaka is located about 224km North of Johor Bahru, Malaysia. That’s about 3 hours drive through the busy streets of JB and the Expressway.
We planned to reach our destination around 12pm for lunch before checking into the hotel. However due to predictable circumstances likely punctuality issue, We set off from Kranji 8am instead of 7am. On top of this, there was a massive jam on the way to the Woodlands Checkpoint and this owing to the renowned SG fugitive. Everyone on the bus chose to get off halfway and walk all the way to the Checkpoint. -.-”

Bangkok Dec’07 - Day Four
Sunday, December 16th, 2007

[Chatuchak Round 2!]It’s Sunday and we’re back at Chatuchak for Round 2 of shopping. I actually found more things to buy hee :P
IMO the highlight of the day was actually the dinner at Zen Japanese Restaurant located at Siam Discovery Centre.

[Japanese Pancake]
[Snow fish set]
[California Maki set]All for less than 400 Baht! Xin Fu Xin Fu!
After shopping at MBK, we head towards Bodytune @ Silom for our massage. The ambience is nice and the price 590 Baht for 2 hours is pretty decent.

Bangkok Dec’07 - Day Two
Friday, December 14th, 2007

[The Grand Palace]Rise and shine! Today is an exciting day - We’re going to the Grand Palace for the first time =) Breakfast at Samran isn’t as sumputous as any typical hotel’s international buffet but surprisingly yummy! I order Fried Egg Noodle from the several set meals of either American or Asian style. YB has the traditional American breakfast set served with 2 sunny-side up, sausage wrapped with ham and 2 slices of toast. Yum Yum! All breakfast sets come with a glass of fruit juice and a cup of tea/coffee.

Bangkok Dec’07 - Day One
Thursday, December 13th, 2007

[The Arrivals @ Suvarnabhumi International Airport]YB and I reach Changi Airport T1 about 4:30am for our 7:05am flight to Bangkok via Jetstar. The queue for check-in is extremely long and even longer for the flight to Hong Kong. -.-”
YB is eager to have BK breakfast but the slow service really put us off. Instead we have half-boiled eggs, toast and a hot drink from The ToastBox - IMO rescued us from an unhealthy and expensive meal. Unfortunately, my gastric problem act up again. I “merlion” my entire breakfast. Luckily YB managed to get mints for me :)
